By creating an account or using ChowVote ("the App"), operated by Tensecond Labs LLC ("we," "us"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use ChowVote. If you're under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. Don't share your account or impersonate others. Notify us immediately at privacy@tensecondlabs.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You agree not to:
Use ChowVote for illegal purposes
Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
Submit false dietary or allergy information that could endanger others
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or attack the App
Send unsolicited friend requests or party invites to people you don't know
Upload content that infringes others' rights
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion for violating these rules.
Friend requests and party invitations are social actions. By using these features you consent to other users seeing your display name, username, and avatar. Sensitive information (allergies, email, dietary restrictions) is only visible to accepted friends and co-attendees of parties you've joined.
ChowVote is not a substitute for medical advice or restaurant verification. Restaurant data comes from Google Places and may be inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete. Allergy compatibility is inferred from cuisine type and user reviews — it is a heuristic, not a guarantee. Always inform restaurant staff of allergies and dietary restrictions before ordering. We are not liable for any allergic reactions, illness, or harm resulting from your use of ChowVote.
ChowVote may offer paid subscription tiers. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID, auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy.
You retain ownership of content you submit (display name, avatar, notes on parties). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display it within the App as needed to provide the service.
We aim to keep ChowVote available 24/7, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, outages, or third-party issues (Supabase, Google, Apple) may cause downtime.
You can delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your data is removed within 24 hours (settled party records may be retained in anonymized form for our records).
ChowVote is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tensecond Labs LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of ChowVote after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the App or email.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
